ENGAGEMENT RINGS · BRISBANE
Choose from selected engagement rings or create a bespoke design shaped around your relationship, priorities and everyday life.
A PERSONAL CHOICE
An engagement ring should reflect the relationship, the wearer and the life in which it will be worn.
Rather than beginning with a prescribed specification, Syna helps you consider proportion, materials, comfort, meaning, budget and long-term care together.
TWO CONSIDERED PATHWAYS
Both pathways can begin with a private consultation and clear guidance.

Develop a design around a relationship, gemstone, personal idea or practical priority.
SETTING STYLES
Every setting alters the ring's profile, how it wears day to day, and how much attention it needs over time.
A single stone, nothing competing with it. The setting's job is to hold and disappear. Prong height and count change how much light reaches the stone and how exposed it is to daily knocks.
A rim of metal surrounds the stone rather than gripping it. The most secure setting we make, and the least likely to catch. It covers the stone's girdle, so the outline reads slightly softer.
A centre stone flanked by two others — often read as past, present and future. Sizing is more involved than a solitaire because the shoulders carry stones.
Small stones ring the centre, adding perceived size and light. A hidden halo places that ring beneath the stone instead, visible only in profile.
Arched shoulders sweep up to meet the stone, lifting it without raising the setting. Elegant in profile, and the arches take some of the daily impact.
Several stones set close together to read as one form. Lets a modest stone budget carry real presence, and suits irregular or inherited stones.
An elongated stone turned to sit across the finger rather than along it. Familiar shape, unfamiliar reading.
Milgrain edges, hand engraving and filigree. The detail is hand-worked, which adds bench time and needs occasional attention over decades of wear.

No single specification suits every person, design or budget. Shape, cut, colour, clarity, carat and setting should be considered together.
01
Consider outline, proportion and how the shape relates to the hand and setting.
02
Cut influences how a diamond or gemstone handles light and should be considered with shape and material.
03
Colour is perceived in relation to metal, setting and personal preference rather than in isolation.
04
The relevance of clarity depends on visibility, durability, material and the priorities of the individual choice.
05
Carat is weight, not a complete description of visual size. Spread and proportion also matter.
06
The design should protect the stone appropriately while supporting the intended profile and daily wear.
METAL CHOICES
Metal influences appearance, structure, maintenance, weight and how the ring relates to other jewellery.
A warm metal colour that can complement many gemstones and develop a familiar character through wear.
A bright appearance whose finish and ongoing maintenance should be understood before choosing.
A warm blush tone that changes subtly with alloy and can create a distinctive relationship with skin and stones.
A naturally white precious metal with its own weight, wear characteristics and design considerations.
DESIGNED FOR REAL LIFE
Occupation, activity, setting height, comfort and maintenance all influence an appropriate design.
Consider whether the ring will be worn during hands-on work, how a raised profile may catch, how it should sit beside a wedding band and what inspection or cleaning the setting will require.
